Rachel Horwitz is a Clinical Fellow, NY State licensure applicant in Speech-Language Pathologist at New York Neurogenic Speech-Language Pathology, P.C. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Yeshiva University. Based on her graduate school academic record, she was awarded the M.S. Speech-Language Pathology Award for Academic Excellence. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Ohio State University, where she double-majored in Speech and Hearing Sciences, and Human Development and Family Sciences, with a minor in Disability Studies.
Ms. Horwitz has extensive clinical experience working with patients of all ages. She has treated patients as young as three years old and up through the geriatric population. She has treated individuals with developmental disabilities (Autism Spectrum Disorder), neurological disabilities (stroke), and swallowing conditions (head and neck cancer patients). She values collaboration with healthcare professionals, family members, and caregivers. Ms. Horwitz is committed to identifying and addressing the individual needs of each patient.
Ms. Horwitz presented her research on “The Impact of Professional Development for Paraprofessionals in Supporting Children with High-Tech Touch Screen Devices” at the Katz School’s 2024 Symposium on Science, Technology, and Health. Additionally, her research was published in the 2024 Symposium Proceedings. Ms. Horwitz served as the Chapter Philanthropist for the National Student Speech-Language and Hearing Association (NSSHLA) at Yeshiva University from 2022 to 2024, organizing fundraisers and charitable events.
In her free time, Ms. Horwitz enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, and crafting.
